It's time to hoist what is BY FAR the most prestigious trophy in all of the land and return to our rightful throne as the champion of the only confederation that matters.
CONCACAF is filled with nothing but top-quality football and is run by fine and upstanding bureaucrats. We should feel honored that we are worthy of calling ourselves a Gold Cup finalist.

We all know that championship prestige is unquestionably linked to one thing only — trophy size.
I rest my case.

We're going to win that beauty for Chuck Blazer.

I wouldn't mind waving the bigger dick around tonight in front of all of CONCACAF

How are the referees planning to frick us out of a win tonight? Jamaica never really seems like ref favorites either.

The finest trophy in all the land

Was a privilege to see Junior Bevil go from Vagisil-y to a man in front of our eyes on the Olympic stage.
Soft spot in my heart for Jamrock, but not today.

Normally I would gladly root for Jamaica over Mexico or any of the dirty Central American teams we have to play, but not today.
No, today is time for sweet revenge to exercise the demons of two years ago. Outside of the Cuba game, which was a joke, we played like hot garbage that whole tournament, and the Jamaica game was the culmination of failure.
A win today will restore a lot of respect for US Soccer.

Anyone going to be in Vegas for this game? I am going to the AO gathering out there.

Last time we played them in the gold cup, Guzan got called for a handball because he released a throw with his hand past the line of the penalty box. That is still the only time I've seen that called. Jamaica scored the winner on the ensuing free kick. Where there's a will there's a way

The call was right though, wasn't it? I remember a lot of debate about it. I wouldn't count it as screwing us when the call is right. It's not like refs normally ignore that infraction. It just doesn't happen.

Doesn't this game actually start @ 8:30 or like 9:10?

It's also hard to catch unless the AR is even with the top of the box.

Yes. It was a huge blunder by guzan.

8:30 or 8:45 would be a good bet.

8:50 is official kick time according to Goff

Hopefully Jamaica doesn't call up Yule Brenner for a prematch speech today, else we are fricked.
