Nope Blame the attorney's. Lawsuits and rewards have driven the cost of malpractice insurance through the roof. I have two close friends who dropped private practice because the malpractice rates are sky rocketing

it is no longer about medical care, it is about who gets the money.

PI attorney takes 40% plus expenses- his client is lucky to get 30% of the award

Down 13% after a 7% drop last year. You gotta get on with a Fortune 500 company baw.

It sucks when I have to use the cost of health insurance as a factor in whether or not to accept a job offer for a job that I may actually enjoy doing.

We've had our annual open enrollment benefits meeting to learn about changes next fiscal year and our premiums are increasing 22%. Last year we incurred a 12% increase. I'm all about free enterprise, but this is ridiculous. It's getting to the point where these premiums are becoming completely unaffordable for the working middle class. At some point this bubble has to burst and collapse right? Premiums can't keep rising at these rates indefinitely.

Hey now friend, you have to pay for the people who cannot afford it.

I turned down a job offer two years ago for this very reason.
