Florida mayoral candidate tells opponent's supporters to "go back to Africa"

The Uhuru Solidarity Movement is a pro-reparations group and is supporting an opponent of Paul Congemi, a white mayoral candidate in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mr. Congemi said:
This is viewed by most as racist. Why? They identify themselves as African-Americans. He wasn't directed the comment to all blacks - just the reparations crowd. What should he say - "Go back to Sweden?"
In this context, telling someone who doesn't like the U.S. to go back to their acknowledged country/continent of origin is rude, but not necessarily racist.

Doesn't that imply that the person you're directing has been to Africa before and you want them to return? It should probably be "go to Africa".

The Uhuru's are awful and the Uhuru's are one of the most racist organizations in the US
