Absolute truth. Baby boomers didn't really start "making it" until they were in their 30's with 10 years of experience in their fields and started getting promotions etc.

It's happening for GenX'ers now.

Same thing will happen eventually with the millennials, but they are going to whine from now until then.

This. Nowadays my parents have a good bit of money. Every house I've lived in was pretty nice and we had a boat, vacations, etc.

But I've seen pics of the first house they lived in. Damn, what a shithole. That was the norm now. My friends who are married, though, shite their wives talk about their dream home at 30. These dudes are house broke beyond belief cause they have to have marble and two sinks for their pintrest obsessed wife.

It's nuts.
