All the good ol baws still call their father Deddy.

It's the hip country thing to do.

I never once heard a grown man call their father daddy in NOLA. Then I came to BR and heard it a few times. Weird as frick hearing a 40 year old dude tell me "I watched the game with my daddy last night...me and my daddy went fishing." I don't care what you call your dad when talking to him, but in the third person it is definitely weird.
