The thing is, the most fun mode is turf war, which is the regular games. So I can understand why even at level 45 you would want to turf war

Yeah they should make a turf war for under and over 10. It's just frustrating to run into a team like that

I have fun in the ranked battles as well, and look forward to moving up the ranks. But as a general rule I like turf war and salmon run the most in this game

So last night I finally "messed" with my sensitivity... and proceeded to rack up multiple kills in multiple games...

Tri-Slosher
12 Kills
10 Kills
12 Kills
Then Switched to Dualities:
16 Kills
17 Kills
Sleep

It was awesome, why didn't I change it before?!?!

ETA: I dropped the motion controls down to -3 and the right joystick sensitivity down to -1

I thought the "normal" setting was fine, but even after last night I'm glad I stayed at the standard setting until level 23, because it helped me become so much better once I put it at what I needed it to be.

Also: The sensitivity really doesn't change that much (it really doesn't change it as much as I was expecting, just makes it a little more accurate imho)

I updated it on what I actually did. I wouldn't recommend you change anything quite yet. The normal setting is a good way to learn how to control your character and the weapons. I would wait until at least level 15-20 before messing with the sensitivity. I know personally it made me a better player because of it

Unless Turf War has gotten better in 2, you all need to spend more time in ranked. Tower Control and Rainmaker can be absolutely insane fun. Overtime in those leads to some amazing finishes (at least it did in 1). Nothing like snatching rainmaker deep in your own territory and being behind on distance as the buzzer goes off then managing to streak across the board via a previously inked backdoor to win the game. Same thing with Tower Control. Splat Zones isn't as zany, but it can be a lot of fun, too.

And yeah, it's not the player's fault if you get tossed into Turf Wars with a bunch of Noobs. I'd play Turf Wars for fun just to relax or take a break from ranked, because ranked felt stressful once you get up to A+. Sometimes it was nice to play without really worrying about going on a losing streak and blowing your rankings, so I'd play Turf Wars.

I remember the first time I played Ranked in S1. It must have been Rainmaker because it was over in like 20 seconds. I just went out randomly inking without knowing what the object of the game even was. I never even saw really my teammates or opponents, and then the game was over.

Just got tower, splat zone, and last week rainmaker to C. I hate climbing ladders in ranked, anything

So they give you a separate rank in each, now? That's interesting. Buying my youngest a Switch for his birthday in October and will be getting S2 immediately. It's going to own me so bad once the kids go to bed.

The separate Ranked score is a good idea. I love Splat Zones, but I'm God-awful at Tower Control.

It really is and it's forcing me to figure out my best weapon and outfit for each. With tower control I can use the dualities and almost hold off the entire other team as they try to take the tower from us.

Tower is the easiest to do this with, because I will create a side path and flank the other team as they are moving towards the tower not paying attention to their flanks.

Some control I become an aerospray boss... But it's still the most volitile of the 3 and hard to carry as one person. (Even though I did have an overtime win last night in zones )

Rainmaker I just haven't figured it out yet. I ranked up really quick on it thanks to teams that were OP. I'm thinking a mixture of roller and n-zap for this one though

I think this was the best game of Salmon Run I've ever had, and I wonder if I'll ever see results like this again. Still stuck at the level of "Go-Getter" though, it's annoying, stuck at the 160% Pay Grade as well

Now you know why Splatoon is the only game to ever make me launch a controller through a flat screen.
