Or, I'm just going out on a limb here, maybe the sexes are predominantly attracted to certain lines of work and industries. Don't see many women in construction or welding or many male nurses or elementary school teachers.

That used to not be the case. Why teach children when everyone just assumes you're a sexual predator?
I know there are a few male teachers on TD. My hat is always off for those brave individuals.
