I think it's good that regular Americans are taking an interest in taking on the professional politicians. I think the last thing establishment types on either side want is real Americans, with skin in the game taking them on.

This! Serving in Congress or being the President shouldn't be any more lucrative than joining the armed forces. It really is time for the people to start voting in the people. You do your time in DC and return to your job and life with the gratitude of your fellow Americans and nothing more.
