"everybody covered" or "0 % uninsured rate"

Jesus Christ, don't call me that. I'm just listening to my father too much, who also has the same problem.
ETA: I think utter deregulation would be better in the long-term and overall, but I'm just trying to find solutions that people can stomach. I know I can't sperg out about markets, Mises, and Murray, so some middle ground is needed if I'm going to have any say in matters.

Would much prefer for the map to have so many polities as to be unreadable.

I thought you were saying the CBO deficit scoring would be a positive number.

TBH calling me a neoliberal is probably the worst insult I've ever received in my life.
Even though I've been called a fascist, Nazi, bigot, racist, misogynist, oppressor, affluenzic WASP shitlord, etc.,
I might kill the next woman who wants to start of intellectual discourse with, "have you ever heard of Rawls or Foucault?"

But polls show that single payor is actually supported by Americans when it is described to them
It depends on how it is described, I would imagine, and on which single payer model to which they'd subscribe - NHS vs. Beveridge or whatever system.
Global medical innovation would almost certainly retard if the U.S. were to move to any sort of single payer model (i.e., don't expect cures for cancer any time soon), as the U.S. is the home of more medical innovation than the rest of the world combined, and that is largely because of how our system is designed.
But we wouldn't be paying 5X or whatever the rest of the developed world is for the last six months of healthcare.
Strategic decisions are always a trade off. That is ours.

I have been told by some austrians/praxeologists that it is not true that they are taught to reject economic data.
Posted on 7/12/17 at 12:41 am to HailHailtoMichigan!
My understanding is that they have a serious problem with what is considered empirical data. I haven't taken an economics or logic course in over a decade, so I have no damn clue.

Did you see the estimated costs for CA's universal coverage bill
Exactly. Even liberal arse California dems can't pass single payor in their state. They've all seen the price tag and can't fund it. Hmm, wonder why?

Half (approx) the legislature is Republican.
For 20 years.
Ca elected nixon and reagan. Lots of Republican voters.
Inland and socal and way north.

Lots of establishment Dems seem to not be accepting warren's and Bernie's call for the party endorsing single payer as opposed to fixing and mantaining the ACA.
Because Democrats accept campaign contributions from insurance companies too. They get fricked on a single payer plan. And those greedy bastards deserve it, imo. I'd have at least 1 Uncle alive if he hasn't gotten screwed by an HMO. But they denied his transplant and died instead.
