If that New York Times reporter had been working on this case for a year, then that is further proof that the Obama admin and Clinton machine were spying on Trumps campaign. How else would he either a) have the emails themselves or b) know about the emails and their content?!?!

If the New York Times reporter has known about and been looking into this for a year, and knew the contents of the email, then somebody in the Obozo administration alerted them A YEAR AGO. They didn't release it then because there was NOTHING there- just like there is STILL NOTHING THERE today. The NYT just thought they could throw this out there with some "gotchas" to make people suspicious and continue to feed the narrative. Don Jr blew that up for them by releasing the emails themselves that show the meeting was a pointless waste of time.
Also, remember when we learned about the existence of those FISA requests on Trump campaign members several months ago? Remember what dates were on them??
June and October of 2016. And what happened in June? Trump Jr, Kushner, and Manafort all went to a meaningless meeting with a random Russian lawyer.
The dates are not a coincidence.

Ok wellll lets go with your theory- a Russian lawyer was seen coming out of Trumps office IN JUNE OF 2016. We've been investigating the treasonous Russia Trump collusion for over a damn year. The media and Dems have thrown every bullshite, off the wall suggestion and random, made- up scenarios out there that they could think of, and every. single. time. They've been NOTHING. Theyve been proven false. Or it was something the Dems in Congress intentionally lied about on the news to keep the narrative alive.
But now, over a year later, when everything else has failed miserably and The NYT and CNN and the rest of the fake news media have had to retract multiple bullshite Russia Trump stories, the NYT finally comes out with the real bombshell to nail Trump. They've just been holding onto it for a year. Waiting for this week.
Yeah, that makes sense. Let's go with that.

Then what on earth has the NYT reporter been looking into FOR A YEAR? Seriously?
Lets be honest- this was just supposed to be another drip drip story with convenient timing, based on unnamed sources where the reporter nevers sees the evidence himself, but chooses to pick apart and edit the info leaked to him to look the most incriminating and fuel the narrative. Trump Jr took that away by releasing the emails himself.
Which is why the reporter was whining like a bitch on Twitter. His "bombshell" became nothing but a dud. Just like the last 73574683 times the fake news media has done this.
Rinse and repeat. Washington Post is up to bat again.
