you could have gotten the hub starter kit + 3 white bulbs for like $60 yesterday on amazon.

yeah it sucks it needs its own hub, but i gotta say, the hue hub has been ROCK SOLID since i set it up.

i ran the v1 hub (round) forever without a single hiccup and only upgraded to the v2 hub (square) because i got several of the starter kits on clearance at home depot.

you don't need a v2 hub for anything except maybe apple homekit. i think even alexa now works correctly with the v1 hub..for awhile you needed the v2 hub to change colors but not anymore.

junkyfunky gets first dibs assuming he is still interested. i need to actually look and see what i have. i know i have tons of the 1 meter extension strips.
