i know they didn't do exit velocities in '97 like they do now, but Big Mac hit that more in a line as opposed to your average HR that crests and then drops.

it's entirely possible that the models used to illustrate trajectory didn't take into account behemoths like McGwire in '97. he was one of a kind even among the steroid era.

That Seattle HR came on a Randy Johnson fastball that was one of a kind...
