Look at type of players we have now
Still not understanding. A few guys that LSU will absolutely depend on were not recruited to LSU by Ed.

Look where they are positioned now and how they're attacking

Ok here is a better understanding. Lawrence, Logan, Shelvin, Key, Chassion, Alexander, Farrel, Thomas, Thornton, Anthony and Martin are all guys LSU has gotten since he's been here and he has done a great coaching job with Lacouture, Gilmore and Herron who will contribute this year not to mention Fehoko who will add depth as well.
Not saying all these guys are coach O's doing but these are all front seven guys that are on this team now and since he's been here the front seven has certainly picked up its game. It was almost immediately impacted upon his arrival. I think he most certainly deserves the credit because it was falling apart before he got here.
We need to pick it up a notch or two IMO but it's much better off then what it was. I think after this season we will start to see bigger players showing interest across the country at what LSU is trying to get accomplished here.

Going off Dandy's depth chart I would say 4 of the top 6 D-Line are here because of Coach O (bolded).
Nose Tackle:
No. 99 Greg Gilmore 6-4, 308, SR
No. 95 Ed Alexander 6-2, 333, SO
Defensive End:
No. 90 Rashard Lawrence 6-3, 301, SO
No. 97 Frank Herron 6-4, 305, SR
Defensive End:
*** No. 18 Christian LaCouture 6-5, 301, SR
No. 96 Glen Logan 6-4, 315, RSFR
*** Christian LaCouture has stated that he did not go pro and sat out the year to learn from Coach O and Coach Jenkins.
"Orgeron, Aranda and Jenkins all convinced him he had goals he could achieve by staying with the Tigers one more year."
No. 18 in your program, Christian LaCouture was already No. 1 in the eyes of many
***"A three-year starter along the defensive line for the Tigers who returns for a fifth year after missing all of 2016 with a knee injury"
"Will play defensive end in Dave Aranda’s 3-4 scheme … Can move inside to defensive tackle when the Tigers shift to a 4-3 alignment"
"Last year while sitting out due to injury, served as a student coach alongside Pete Jenkins, for the defensive line"
"Will wear the No. 18 jersey this year, a number symbolic with being a team leader and selfless player who best represents what it means to be a LSU Tiger"
