and not addressing where the kids spend the other 16 hours of their day won't do any good.
Most don't spend that time in the house, they're in the streets.

I'd rather see that $2 million go to after school programs and things like that.

They have to have better mentors and realize they can make it without just being a professional sports athlete, rapper or drug dealer.

As someone who used to be in the streets, I know just as well as any honest person who's witnessed it, that's what most of them think.

The ones who do try to do right are made fun of until they end up falling into the same trap. When I used to go buy dope, they would sell in front of their kids, with their kids or with other family members.

Until shite like that stops, the cycle won't end, I don't care how much money you throw towards housing. That's why I think that investment in after school programs to keep these kids off the streets and around people who actually care about their futures would be more beneficial than putting new homes in the same run down hood.

And about the us vs. them attitude, it works both ways. It's shitty no matter how you look at it, but that's what happens when beliefs/values differs so much.

I get what you are saying. I'm all for spending tax dollars towards getting the kids all the help they can.

But you honestly aren't equating the drug dealers you bought heroin from to everyone in that community are you?

Holy outlier bro
