Regardless of if this story is true or not, I think its becoming increasingly more clear.. We are not going to get any real help from China or Japan.

I get China, but what is Japan supposed to be doing here? They aren't friends with North Korea.

It is 4th of July there. Maybe this was a failed firework show? They tend to screw up a lot over there...

No, but if you believe it was just small talk, your an old fool. Obama can't help himself to interfere...especially when it comes to him trying to stay relevant. I guess he could've talked about his crowning achievement of getting a law passed as POTUS allowing men to use the women's bathrooms.

rule of thumb if it's anything dealing with foreign policy that guy struck out on everything, so it's easier to assume fault from the beginning.

How about we agree we have no idea what they discussed so a call to enact muh Logan is a bit dramatic and overreactive no?

The Jappenese have a history of commiting some fricked up shite during wartime. North Korea doesn't not want to piss them off

This isn't the same Japan, they're basically impotent now, militarily speaking.

Not the last time either.

If you threaten to use the military.

Sooner or later you have to back up that threat, otherwise this is the result.

Do you think he reported everything he discussed to the current sitting president? If not, when do you reckon he will?

Japan would prefer a backwards shithole north korea remain.

A unified korea would be an economic powerhouse to rival japan

That being said, japan also doesnt want hiroshima again in 2017

Of course. If anyone, including a previous president, undermines or slanders a current president to a foreign official, in a manner that is a negative impact to our country and relationship with the current president then they should be charged. A lot of this board has a history of making mountains out of mole hills and you know that. Everyone gets dramatic and has double standards when it comes to politics. My usual stance is somewhere in the middle, he probably said some of the cuff inappropriate remarks that would piss off certain people, but nothing to hurt the country, and nothing to hurt foreign relations.

You misunderstood my question. I was just asking if you thought he should report the entirety of his communication to the current president - whatever it was.

China, Japan, South Korea, and even Australia are the ones in the hit zone. Between DPRK's ineptitude and our own defensive capabilities, our country would not be at risk (just those stationed in the Pacific). WE won't lose a couple hundred thousand citizens and thousands of acres of habitable land in an attack.

They will have only themselves to blame for enabling the fat frick when he hits the button.
