BTW, I doubt seriously that any starter on last year's Pitt offense would start at LSU this year.
It's about brains as much as it is braun.
But in a high note, we are still more talented than Pittsburgh

It is always the jimmy and joes that outweigh the X's and O's
Watch Clemson this year. Same coaching, different results. AU this year will be really good

Matt Canada was calling plays for the only team to beat Clemson last year. Clemson beat Alabama. Pitt's players are not SEC-caliber. That was my point.
I'm not saying talent isn't important. It's talent combined with great strategy that separates the good from the great.

Anyone watching it right now on SEC Network?

Just noticed on the replay today: When we stopped Hurts on 4th and goal, that was almost a fumble that Duke scooped up and, subsequently, would have taken it the distance. Unfortunately, it was an awkward sequence, but it did look like #2's knee hit the ground before he dropped the ball.
What a turnaround that could have been.

That's what you took from rewatching a game where LSU put up zero points?

No, I got that Canada was hired to run the Single Wing - Norte Dame Box offense with no Qb!
Fraking Tool!

I do think the ingredients are there to start scoring more on Bama. May not happen this season, but look out in 2018 and beyond.
Canada's playcalling and strategy should help.
Hope between Brennan and Narcisse, Canada can develop a quarterback who can beat Bama.

No luck involved. Alabama dominated that game, in spite of the score, and the Tiger offense was worse than that of any of Bama's other opponents.

We only lost 10-0 and it was truly a closer game than even that score would have you think. I
We were never close to winning that game. They could've played 25 quarters and lsu still would be scoreless.
I love how the OP is using the Bama game to say the offense is going to be opened up...being that it was the most conservative game plan of the year. Not only that, but everyone except coach O knew that game plan wasn't going to beat bama, yet he still trotted it out there.

If you don't like Coach O. Blow me! At least he's gonna open up the offense.
Game A
5 1st downs
95 yards of offense
Game B
6 1st downs
125 yards of offense
1 game is widely used to crap on a coach(justly I might add)
And the other is proof a coach will open up the offense.
The rant never ceases to amaze me.

Have you forgotten the amount that of Offensive records established last season?
Y'all act like we broke records because of passing. Those records were broken because we ran the ball. We ran for 419 and 390 yards for those broke records against the 117th and 118th ranked run defenses.

Game A had a way way better team..... in a way more important game... a total failure.....

You forgot! Guice touched the ball only twice! Why's that?

It amazes you that the Coach of game A - 92 total yards and 5 first downs - AND kept his entire staff in place gets crapped on?
It amazes you that "the other is proof a coach (game B) will open up the offense" when said coach has 3 new coaches of 5 on offense? Including OC, WR and RB - which are the three positions that directly affect the yardage, first downs and points scored.
If you had a little bit of common sense and new anything about the dynamics of football it wouldn't be like you were seeing sunlight for the first time ever every time you opened a thread.
But, I can see how a guy who thinks Austin Thomas is a COACH at LSU could not understand the dynamics of football and what part replacing underperforming assistant coaches entails.
Oh, and Game A only had 92 yards not 95 and was 2-12 on 1st down attempts. Game B was 125 yards and 4-15 on 1st downs. What should amaze you is how the hell the Game A coach retained his entire staff after that game. Coach B damn sure didnt'.
