With all the grief Kramer got with his hair and all, Deichmann had an abysmal postseason. Florida came right after him and he wilted. For some reason no one wants to admit that he played a big part in finishing #2 instead of #1. Should have come back.

This. I agree, literally every at bat I was saying, "Deichmann's due, Deichmann's due." But in no way should he have come back. He won way more games for the tigers (see game 1 in the supers vs Msst I believe it was) than you could criticize his performance.
