Sony TV apps buffering since updated in March

Reached out in the OT for suggestions on Cox vs Eatel service after we have been having a few issues with buffering over the last few weeks. A poster mentioned that it might not be the internet but the latest update for the TV. I think the latest updates were in March but we have only noticed issues with buffering in the past few weeks. It started in the Amazon App but then moved to the ESPN app, Disney junior app etc. Any pointers on how to "fix" the buffering issues?

We called Cox Customer service but all they said was that our internet feed was great and unrelated to the issue and that they couldn't assist in further with the buffering issues.

Both TVs are Sony but one pulls in wirelessly and the other is hard lined into the router.

I had issues with Netflix a while back, and it ended up being a corrupt Sony update. I had to download the update and save to a memory stick. Then, I had to update directly from stick.
