Jerman Neveaux filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against 28 Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies, accusing them of using excessive force when he was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Detective David Michel Jr.
The deputies beat Neveaux, acting with "willful and wanton indifference" and "deliberate disregard" for his constitutional rights, according to the filing, made Thursday (June 22), one year after Michel's death and Neveaux's arrest.
quote:
As a result, Neveaux suffered nerve damage, disfigurement, partial blindness in his right eye and mental anguish, the lawsuit says. Neveaux, 20, is charged in Jefferson Parish district court with first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a stolen firearm and two counts of resisting police by force. He is accused of shooting Michel, 50, three times in the back after the detective stopped him as he was walking near Manhattan Boulevard and Ascot Road in Harvey on June 22, 2016.

He shot Officer Michel in the back 3 times, resisted arrest, is pleading not guilty, and is suing 28 people for his broken face.

Piece of shite deserved it. Who cares if they beat the shite out of him.
How about you don't kill a cop, or anyone for that matter, in the first place. If you kill someone, you deserve no sympathy, nor should you have any right to NOT have your arse kicked.

If police are killing unarmed black men for doing nothing more than walking down the street minding their own business, how did this guy walk away without being shot by the cops?

This happened right before the Sterling incident. You wonder why cops are a little itchy with the finger. They get shot on routine stops.

Too bad they didn't bring him in in a body bag.

He actually looks better after getting the ever living shite beaten out of him.
Dude has a face that begs to be punched.

100%.
Also, would this be a civil rights issue if he were white?

And he should have just been shot on the bridge and left the fall in the river instead of holding up traffic for ever

Justified?
I suppose we will find out soon enough if it was "justified." In my opinion, he's lucky to just have a mashed up face after shooting a detective and resisting arrest.

Some people DO NOT deserve to live. I'd put up the money for this guy to take a helicopter ride 75 miles out to sea and dropped into the ocean.

What did Barry say? "... If I had a son..."
Police are underpaid, under armed, over stressed and over worked.
Police today should more resemble 4GW urban tacticians complemented with 5GW tech than beat cops we send in to combat today.
Marxists destabilize respect for rule of law by demeaning police for any reason or no reason.
I have never known anyone to be harmed by a policeman that followed commands.
I've known some rough mofos
too, white and black.... But they did as they were told.
Barry and his Panthers weaponized the attitude of many poor mostly black youth. Reap what you sow.
No sympathy

Don't shoot a cop, don't get your face kicked in.
Deal?
Deal.
Deal?
Deal.
