It blows my mind that people still smoke cigarettes in 2017

-Direct link to lung cancer

-makes you smell like shite

-makes your house and all your stuff smell like shite

-Makes your teeth yellow

-Makes your breath stink

-Puts everyone around you at risk of lung cancer

-it's expensive as shite

-Makes you cough up sputum all the time because it literally burns away the cilia on your esophagus

-Makes your respiratory fitness complete shite

-increases your risk of several other types of cancer

-gives you that awful smoker voice

-Makes you look trashy

I understand that it's addicting as hell but I can't imagine all of that not being enough to get you to stop buying the things

You inhale 50% of the smoke I get by breathing in second hand smoke.

You owe me a half a pack every time I buy them.

I quit smoking a couple of years ago. As easy as it would be to look down on people who still have the habit, I refuse to allow myself to do that. It is objectively really stupid, but it's also pretty enjoyable. I bet there are more than a couple of stupid things that you enjoy too.

Well buddy, because there's a thing called addiction. Besides that, why do people eat like shite? Why don't we all run to work every day and eat sea weed 3 times a fricking day. Not butt hurt, but these threads get old.

Not trying to say I'm better than anyone else. I know plenty of people that I respect who smoke. I just cannot understand it

You can't feel sorry for a smoker that gets cancer.

Excuses.
There are so many ways for one to pursue quitting and succeed if they really wanted to do it.

Smoke shaming is the new fat shaming and it's for people's own good.

What if its anal cancer? Is it ok to feel sorry for the smoker then?

You know damn well I was talking about lung cancer. Same goes with dippers/mouth cancer. You reap what you sow buddy. Meanwhile the rest of us get sky high insurance premiums because of the a-hole smokers/dippers and their "rights." What about my right not to pay for your bad habits and their consequences?

I understand why people can't quit. I don't understand why they start.

Genetics my man. One size doesn't fit all. My GF retired at 65. Had physical for key man policy. Doc said no more bourbon, cigars, cigarettes or red meat, it would kill him within 5years. His day started at 4am. At 3pm he was at the Club enjoying beer, old forester, cigarettes and conversation. He had a rare steak with trimmings then more bourbon or cognac and a cigar or two. He did this everyday of his life since he was in his 30s. The Dr was right, it finally killed him at 96. Doc was long dead, along with his silly health advice.

It annoys me more knowing that so many smokers supposedly cant afford the important things in life, but can pay for cigs.
At the end of the day it's the same with the fatty problem, we will all pay for the diabetes and heart problems of the poor
