World War Z

Any of Clive Cussler's books.

Any of Tom Clancy's books.

The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and the Bourne Ultimatum. I was really disappointed with the movies. I do understand that you have to change book stuff to make it fit the movie per say. But they pretty much took what made the books great and completely left it out of the movies. You get a little taste of the book in The Bourne Identity but, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum's plots are totally different.

The books had almost nothing to do with the movies. Cain is for Charlie and Charlie is for Carlos or whatevs.

a couple here already mentioned:
World War Z
I am Legend

This won't be popular, but Lonesome Dove didn't compare with the books. I love the series, but the books are even better, with the Texas Bull and Blue Duck's character being even more ruthless than the movie portrayed

bullshite. The Hunt for Red October is awesome and timeless.

Catch 22 is a good example, though I really don't think any film adaptation could ever do it justice.

The Man in the High Castle series is laughable, though I also don't think the book lends itself to film or TV very well.
