What's even better than a hot chick is a former athlete, the more notoriety the better. I've seen Drs fawn over these guys.

I have 5 years in with capital equipment in medical and I'm starting to get the itch to look for something new. How often do you guys switch jobs? I've been in my current role for three years and seen a couple management changes. All bringing higher quotas and lower commissions. I just really hate the job search.

When I worked at Stryker there was a rep in Wisconsin by the name of Eric Torkelson who was a sometime starting RB on crappy GB Packer teams in the 70's and he did extremely well in medical equipment sales, he was compensated way better than he was when playing in the NFL. He was a great guy and very good rep (last I knew he was still there) but his notoriety as a former Packer helped open many doors I'm sure.

A good friend here in Scottsdale is a rep for a prominent device company and does very well. She was a former Phoenix Suns dancer, was a contestant on The Bachelor TV show and is well-known for both. She's also an extremely capable rep and does very well.
