In my last stop in the cane fields I exited the vehicle hands raised and still had a bottle of bourbon in one hand.
The officer in question thankfully found it funny.

But you are smart enough that you understand your actions will have reactions from other parties, so you probably wont ever be shot by an officer.
Do exactly what the officer says when he says to do it. You are not going to win an argument with a police officer during the confrontation. Do what they say, and if the officer was out of line you can fight it in court or in the court of public opinion.
Like the old saying: Life is hard and its even harder when you are stupid.

This. Should Law Enforcement be held to task for any brutality and injustice? absolutely!
But at some point, people have to realize that you cannot have a weapon and point it at an LEO and not expect bad results. Comply with the officers orders and 99% of the time, things will turn out all right.
