I understand this, but parsing this is like finding out your wife has been cheating on you but she's making the argument about "why have you been looking through my text messages". It goes to further my post- OSU fans are more concerned about the police leaking Heimlich's criminal history instead of, you know, his two years of raping a kindergartner.

Sports make people crazy. I've said that exact quote for years on here.

The issue I struggle with is how long do you choose to stigmatize someone with the label of sex offender given that it essentially creates
a lifetime label that will prevent you from having any chance of success in most
endeavors, be it getting a job or even finding a place to live. The crime is awful,
but the punishment may create an even worse long term outcome for all.

I don't know anything about the case but hopefully these posts are jokes or trolls because that is terrifying if legit.

The lesser of two evils is definitely the ineptness of the judicial system here. That doesn't absolve the court however.
I agree that sports fans are extremely forgiving to their own even for absolutely grotesque crimes. I think it's absolutely fair that he looks to not have a MLB career now because his actions came to light. Still doesn't mean that I think how it came to light is right. I personally think child molesters should be castrated on conviction.
