Human trafficking: defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a form of modern day slavery. They would also have you believe that kidnapping for the purpose of human trafficking wasn't near as rare as it really is.

I remember about 4 years ago when the Super Bowl came to town, all these 'non-profits' showed up to town blasting Nola about the huge uptick of human trafficking. They then show up to what we town the final four is in and do the same, and on and on. All about publicity.

I think I read a stat that trafficking has risen 100% in the last 4 years alone.
