Same. I listen to a little bit of Panic, but how people enjoy Phish is beyond me.

I can mail you and Brazos a knife and a phish tape and let you make the call if you will PM me your addresses.

Only if you include Farmhouse. That one I can deal with. See.. there's some common ground! And the one about the roses being free or something.

Roses Are Free is actually a Ween song but you got it!

You obviously haven't listened to their new album, Big Boat. Give that a spin an report back

Checkout FRIENDS off their new album
If that doesn't sell you on their musicianship, and vocal ability, then I don't know what will

vocal ability comments don't need to come from a JB apologist

Bringing up vocals in a jam band discussion is kida silly, but John Bell's voice is leaps and bounds better than Trey's..not even up for debate. JB has got soul, something that ginger and the pederass bassist lack.
Phish's vocal jamming was the shite back in 2.0; it's been in decline since then.

JB has the voice of a god damn angel
I can't even believe you're comparing Trey's vocals to JB's

I wasn't comparing anything, JB doesn't sound good. That is all.

Vocal jams have always sucked
The second I start to hear someone scatting at the end of a YEM I hit next song. Ain't nobody got time for that

John Bell has the tone, pitch and range that every member of phish wishes they had. For someone his age; it's amazing he can sing the way he does. Seems like Trey's voice has whithered over the years. Not as crisp as it used to be. Neither of those bands really jam anymore. Trey's arthritis has debilitated his hands so badly that they've moved to 13-14 song sets. I'm betting that will increase to 15 songs in baker's dozen. There will be plenty of vocal jams mixed in there as well.

Ya that is one of my favorites, no bullshitting just attacking the jam right out of the gate.
