First and foremost, let's hope he is okay. Whether he plays football or not is inconsequential at this point. With that said, if he is a medical retirement, a settlement will be reached and the majority of that contract will not count against the cap.

How do we extend (re-sign) a guy with a horrible heart condition....RED FLAG!!
Not to beat a dead horse, and not a homer thing but we couldn't spend a 7th Rd pick La'ell Collins because of a "red flag".
Marcus Peters for that matter.
