In all likelihood his positives don't outweigh the negatives that he brings to the table. I guess he could make sense as a starter for a team that sucks (the Jets), but the flack you get for signing him isn't worth it if he's going to just ride the bench.

This. I agree with it too. It's a business and it's about putting butts in the seats and merchandise sales. So for that reason why would a owner want someone who is counter to that.

For anyone that thinks he isn't signed because he's not better than 99% of backups are retarded.

If your talented enough, there's some teams that would be willing to deal with the PR backlash if they think the player will help their team.

Kaepernick's problem is that he isn't good enough to be a starting QB and teams don't want to create a PR problem for themselves to sign a backup QB who will be holding a clipboard on the sideline all season.
