Sorry to let you know, but you will end up falling in love with the first or second thing that winks at you. You'll have some kids and end up in the same grind as the rest of us. You better enjoy it while it last.

The only shitty thing with seasonal positions is 1039. I can't work more than that many hours in a seasonal position with the DOI in a single year. But if I find something permanent year round, I am eligible for anything. A buddy of mine I worked with back home is here too with the NPS and he may end up in Washington state in a month or so with USFS and he's banking on getting it so he can be a DOI employee permanently, basically skipping the 1039 deal. Lucky arse!
