I'm ok with 12 if we extend the roster size 3 bench spots, but I also should have at least one owner who would be very active (as I mentioned before) and we have plenty of time to hunt for others before rookie draft and agree they should be "vouched for" by a current active member of this league.

12 teams and 20 roster spots is too shallow for a dynasty league IMO, and also not fair for those teams who have already built solid depth.

Also, a dispersal or supplemental draft is very tricky....seen it also wreck leagues before. I'm not shooting the idea down, but it's not very easy to execute in a way that everyone will be on board with.

Maybe put all the players of those 2 teams back into the pool and have a 7 round draft when we do the rookie draft. That adds your 3 slots. Same draft order as we would have with the results of the lottery. Just an idea.

I’m probably leaning to being out. To echo others this league just isn’t all that fun honestly.

Not a bad idea, good for everyone even at back end of draft as it pushes rookies down too by including vets. One thing to keep in mind some of us own the vacated teams picks so we should honor those in fairness (for example I own Lester's 2020 1st from Thielen deal last year).

Fine with me. The prospective owner should now that before he agrees to take on that team.

If I had to guess, filling these slots probably won’t get too much traction until the rookie draft next season.

Nah. Adding established players (including star players) into the draft makes this upcoming draft much more valuable than a standard rookie draft. No one who traded draft picks to date knew those were the stakes when making moves. It penalizes them for being active.

And I am on the fence about next year. More than likely come back but I agree with some posters that I just don't find this league very fun.

And Ive also had issues with getting teams to respond to trades.

This years rookie draft is loaded.

I will welcome anyone’s feedback as to how we proceed. Propose some rule changes that will make this league more fun. Or we say frick it and fold.

Just checking in to say I'd prefer to keep the league if we can find some solid owners to replace the outgoing guys.

Yeah, I'm hanging in if the league is still hanging in. Probably at this point we probably should compile a list of all owners who are definitely out, just to get a real idea of how viable this whole thing is right now. If someone else doesn't get to it first I'll have something up either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Absolutely-Im committed long term. Also putting out there that I have a lot of draft capital and regardless of where picks fall Im willing to trade up and down and move picks for experienced players as well. Dont hesitate to reach out and open communication for trades, everyone and every pick has a price!

Looks like It’s Gyno, LE, DirtDawgs, and Deebz that are dropping. TTT is undecided, but maybe he can be convinced.

So a listing of the league with indication of if they have said they were in or out or if I haven't seen a response then I'll leave if blank. Let me know of responses and things I've missed and I'll update as we go.

Out:
1. DirtDogs
2. Lester

In:
1. G$
2. DeathValleyHeroes
3. Peazey
4. TThom
5. Swamie
6. FatClem
7. Frat
8. None
9. DT45
10. Gyno

On the Fence:
1. Deebz
2. Ttown

If we're dropping down to 12 then we don't have too far to make up to fill the league.

Will also need to figure out how to disburse the two teams that are eliminated players. My first thought was to do a separate draft for those players, and I just thought to do a type of supplemental draft modeled after how the NFL does theirs. You have a waiver order and bid system. I actually think that might work really well. Anyway, I can research how other leagues have done it and we have plenty of time to discuss.

I also would strongly suggest moving the league to sleeper. It's a better platform for dynasty and has a better communication system, which I think should help some of our problems. The ESPN messaging system fricking sucks.
