FWIW we had the most rotates starting XI on the year and I’m pretty sure we never used the same one in consecutive weeks all season in the league.

That said, his playing time would probably be cut a little bit and I think he’d be too expensive for what we’d be willing to play.

As an American I fully support him staying in Dortmund for now

Yea his price keeps sky rocketing

there were rumors of us doing a swap and sending Martial the other way.

I'd love to have him at United but i want him to develop and get the mins like he is at Dortmund

His work rate on both ends of the pitch would be perfect for Jose.

Yeah that is better for his development. Moving to the EPL now would be a mistake. He's 19, he isn't fully developed physically, and with his dribbling ability, teams would kick the living shite out of him. I want him to stay in Dortmund and get minutes for as long as possible.

hmmmm one of the first on the team sheet or a squad player...............

If Klopp wants him as the most advanced CM, he'd be much more than a squad player.

At Dortmund? Not much because of Gotze and Kagawa, but it has most likely become his permanent position with the USMNT.

And Reus was injured most of the season, giving them fewer options of moving people around.

He will most definitely move inside later in his career, but at his age the experience of playing on the wing will be invaluable. I'm rooting for him to stay in Germany, as I think it will be far better for his development.

Didn't realize Rodgers was still the manager.

And we can't count Coutinho?

None of that means it won’t happen. Guys leave for bigger clubs every single year with the probablility of reduced playing time.

What you mean to say is “I hope it doesn’t happen”

Gini and Ox came to Liverpool from big clubs without the promise of guaranteed minutes.

Ox made a lateral move in terms of playing time

Gini made an upgrade

Pulisic switching to Liverpool or any top six club would significantly cut his mins.

Going first on the team sheet playing week in week out and in Europe, then becoming a squad player is a bad move.

Get over yourselves, Liverpool isn't the fricking holy grail.

No what you guys are saying is wishful thinking that its going to happen

And Gomez did pretty well this year as well.

So in ~3 seasons under Klopp, that's a pretty damn good track record.

Liverpool is in the champions league final. Meanwhile you’re gloating about finishing higher in the table while still being 19 points behind your cross town rival, as if finishing 2nd instead of 4th makes dick of a difference

He can come to Liverpool and play for one of the best attacking sides in Europe, compete for Champions League titles, and play for the most charismatic manager in the world. European Royalty bitch. You don’t have to accept it or like it, but that doesn’t change it.

Tempting the soccer gods again, your post usually don't age that well

quote:

They aren’t behind United in the table if De Gea isn’t at United. They probably won’t finish behind United in the table regardless. That’s the whole point. They also put 5 in on this Sevilla side and I’m not even sure United have a shot on target yet. United trails at least 1-0 with any other keeper in the world right now. United is an average side that’s consistently bailed out by their world class goal keeper. All that offensive firepower and they’re 10 goals behind Liverpool. You’re gonna be mad as hell when y’all finish behind LFC in the table.

Liverpool: Finishes ahead of Sevilla in group stage
United: Eliminated by Sevilla

Liverpool: Beats betting favorites Man City 5-1 on aggregate
United: eliminated by Sevilla

Liverpool: Beats Roma fresh off their elimination of Barcelona
United: at home, eliminated by Sevilla, pointing to Liverpool’s “easy draw”
after advancing from the weakest group in the tournament.

Just gonna assume this is satire

Damn this bothers you. We were discussing a move to England. Stay on topic. Liverpool is on the Mount Rushmore of European soccer, tied for 3rd in this competition. You knew that though. We’ve won the frickin lot.

I’m in no way saying that City would win the tie because Looking back Pool deserved to go through, but let’s not act like refereeing didn’t play a direct impact in the score line.

It would have been much closer had Salah’s first goal in the first match been correctly called offside or if Sane’s goal right before half had been correctly given instead of being waved off.
