I happen to think the acting, particularly Ed Norton was extremely entertaining and the story being told overall was far more entertaining than Jack Sparrow drunkingly falling all over the place for 2 hours. And this is coming from someone who liked Pirates 5

Thats ok. But are you aware that 95% of people would disagree with you....??? You just gonna claim that youre that much more intellectual than everyone else? Or admit that smthg like Birdman that critics fawn over isnt really that great to the majority of moviegoers??

Bottom line, people shouldnt rely on Rt to determine whether to go to a theater to view a certain movie, they should know on their own. But alas.....RT does have an effect

Ok? So fast & furious, avengers, and transformers are better than Birdman, Room, Ex Machina, et al? Ok. "Ugh, people talk a lot in this one, let's go see 2 fast 2 furious"

My response to the "critics are becoming snobs" stuff applies to you as well:

Critics are becoming snobs

I don't think that's it so much as a certain segment of the population enjoys bad, lazy movies and try to pass themselves off as representative of "general audiences" in order to make themselves feel better about liking bad, lazy movies.

That you honestly believe 95% of the population thinks the same way you do about this (or anything else, really) is nonsense.
