I guess next they'll want the city of Houston renamed, along with Sam Houston State University.
Damn progressives are anything but progressive.

Instead of being wasteful, they could try to utilize their time and raise money to put up more statues for people they want memorialized.
That's the real problem for them. They don't have anyone worth memorializing.

They just have a problem with anyone on a horse?

The only explanation is that these idiots didn't take history in high school or college (assuming they made it that far).
That is the only way to explain a group of idiots wanting to remove the statue of one of the greatest heroes in the history of Texas.
But maybe we've got it all wrong. Maybe the Civil War they are talking about is not the American Civil War. Maybe it's a cover up. Maybe they are just Santa Anna sympathizers, and this is all about still wanting to be a Mexican territory...lmao!

Not everyone is as stupid as the dindus in New Orleans and their pandering leader Landrieu. It won't be removed

H-Town needs a statue of DJ Screw. My recommendation would be to put it on Fondren and Main.

Looks like this bad boy is coming down sooner rather than later. The whitewashing of history is in full effect. There really is nothing that conservatives can do about this now. It is a snowball rolling downhill.

Houston is going to tear down a statue of the man the city was named for? Ooooook then.

turns out this story was fake news

There's just one slight problem: "Texas Antifa" is an alt-right troll group that stole the name of a self-described anti-fascist group, Houston Antifa — a local chapter of a national grassroots movement — in order to... well, we're not sure, exactly, but we think it has something to do with pissing off as many people as possible.
Unfortunately, KPRC and the Chronicle failed to dig a little deeper. If they had, they might have found the real Houston Antifa page, which has warned people to "unlike and unfollow this fake arse Texas Antifa page. Do NOT attend the June 10th Rally! This account was started a month ago and is in NO way, shape, or form affiliated with any actual Antifa Organization."
