It is baseball tradition. The dugout never brings it up. Not only is it considered a jinx, it puts too much pressure on the pitcher to be constantly reminded he has a no hitter going.

This is wrong. The entire team talks about it, just not to the pitcher or around the pitcher so he can hear. Talking to the pitcher about it is what is considered to jinx him.

And the big deal about a No Hitter is that ONE pitcher had the strength and fortitude to go the entire gane himself and not let anyone get a hit. If he can go the entire game and not let anyone on base, even better...that's a perfect game. But teams do take pride in a team no Hitter, it's just not as big a deal.
