I think he is gone, but to say the Friday night spot is his is a bit of an overstatement. I have a hard time believing he will pitch over Hess on Friday night next season.

I thought the same thing. After I was told that, I did a little research. He possesses what many consider to be the best curve ball of all prospects, high school or college. I watched him pitch surrounded by scouts with radar guns. He was consistently 91-93 in the 7th. It's not hard to imagine.

You have a hard time believing that a kid who will be a 1st or 2nd rounder wouldn't start on Fridays over Hess or any pitcher that is currently on the roster and returning next year, for that matter?? Must not be too familiar with college baseball. If he actually makes it to LSU he should without a doubt be the Friday night guy next year, whether he's being told that or not.
