re: WaPo: "LeBron James is the clear MVP of the playoffs"

It was a ten point game when LeBron left the game and a ten point game at half so yeah Kyrie held it together pretty well. Eight minutes into the third LeBron had scored 9 in the quarter and Kyrie 7 and the game was tied. I don't really understand why people feel the need to embellish things to make it seem as if LeBron was a no show or something. Just keep talking about game 3 if you're that desperate to have something to criticize him over.

quote:LeBron went to the bench down 10 points and then to the half still down 10.
Lebron went to the bench with four fouls and his team down double digits. You bet your arse Kyrie bailed him out.
quote:Funny how it's always LeBron being bailed out, I've never in my life heard that argument for the other greats. They just made their teammates better, but Lebron's teammates bail him out.
Lebron looked lost before Kyrie saved the game.
quote:You're probably right, which not only shows how great Kyrie was but also underscores how great LeBron is. He's the only player maybe ever who goes for 34/6/5, and and,it's a complete afterthought. Basically because that's below his averages over the past 15 playoff games.
Let's not pretend that last nights win wasn't all about Kyrie

Without Kyrie in the third, the series would be 2-2 and headed to the C's.

Hyperbole much? Lot of duos have played with one not benefitting from the press despite playing great games. Lebron scored a dozen in the fourth while the Cavs were rolling and the media were still goo goo eyed over Kyrie. His overall stats did become lost.

Lol...and what happened the rest of the third quarter?

Got it, very enlightening.

I love how you go from "he did more than you think!" to "But MJ and the other greats needed help too!"
Lebron knows this better than anyone. Hence why he is playing with Kyrie and Love now or when he played with Wade, Bosh, Allen, and Haslem in Miami...

What's your point?
quote:Does he? A guy who played with another top 50 all time great who never won anything without that player doesn't know that?

That nostalgia is a helluva drug!!!

Yeah, I don't remember him calling up Bird asking him to play on the same team. Maybe you should link it.

Yeah
But let me guess, MJ would have turned Ilgauskus into Pippen, right? If not, maybe Mo Williams was the next Pippen if he played w/MJ?

Scoring 9 points in a quarter to help come back from a ten point deficit doesn't exactly jive with
On top of that he scored 14 in the fourth to put the game away as the Celtics pulled within 6 a couple of times. Is he supposed to score every point?

On to
Imagine if Kyrie had 14 to Lebron's 4 in a 4th quarter...
The goalposts constantly move.

Apparently he is so to satisfy all the LeBron detractors, then they'll subsequently nitpick other elements of his statline bc that's how their simpleton minds work. Anything to maintain the myth they've been conditioned to believe without conducting any research like informed people.

It was Lebron's camp offering up the excuses of sickness. I'm just sipping the tea while you're squirming.

Hopefully the lightbulb is going off in your head now about my comment about how we take Lebron's greatness for granted. When he can score 14 in the 4th to put a game away, and the game, as you said, had nothing to do with that, that's when you know how great he is.
After that line of comments, I'm guessing you'll see that point now, right?

You're saying Kobe is more clutch than LeBron, so chances are, you're spilling more tea on yourself than getting in your mouth.

Those positions dont even match up... You're not very good at this.

Apparently you don't know who Lebron's 2nd best players were over the years. You seem to not know a lot on this subject for spouting so many opinions. Very strange.
If you don't have the ability to compare MJ's best teammate over a given time(because they didn't play the same position) to Lebron's in the context of your irrelevant MJ playing with Bird line, that says a lot about your ability to grasp and keep up with this conversation.
