Is there an educated man or woman here that thinks it would be a good idea to sit here and do nothing? To let that mad man and his military acquire nukes and the capability to deliver them via ICBM to our doorstep? This upcoming war is worthy of our patience and support gentlemen.

For me, it's not that nothing needs to be done, it's that why can't the countries closer to the situation take care of it. As it's been said, maybe they just aren't strong enough to do so.

That is correct plus the North Koreans are sworn enemies of the United States. Every president since Clinton has persued every diplomatic avenue possible including giving them food and an embarrassing amount of money. Even if China and Japan were capable of dealing with it (they are not) we can't put our well being in their hands. Sure lots of lives will be lost. War is hell and I think we have bent over backwards to keep it from coming to that.
