Because we like being a superpower, European countries are not superpowers and it is not worth their more limited resources.
Countries close to the situation are China, South Korea, and Japan. They all are doing what they can to best position themselves to come out of it in the best possible way.
Keep in mind, China would probably prefer that NK kept to itself so they could maintain their hedge against US aligned countries.

Yes, but if Kim goes too far, they would also have him taken out and replaced in a heartbeat to avoid a unified Korea and US/SK invasion of NK.
