Official Brandon Coolman Hype Thread

Watching bcole is a lot like watching a loved one compete in a sport. You are overwhelmed with joy when they don't frick up and have a sympathetic "keep your head up" attitude when they do. I even noticed last year, after his Kansas City TD, he looked up to the sky and I just knew he was thanking God for helping him reel this one in. His hands are becoming more dependable and he was a solid WR4 last yr.
Cole's world, the human highlight reel
One thing he needs to work on is his body control. On a number of deep throws he's often in an awkward position too late in the throw, forcing him to wildly contort his body. He usually doesn't make this catch and you think wow that would have been an incredible catch. Then you realize he just made it look really, really hard. I think he'll continue to get better, and we need him to now that we're thinner at WR.
Time to make a prediction for Brandon Coolman's 2017 season:
30 catches 300 yards 4-5 tuddies
1 FF on Brees INT, taken to the house by MT13

Thought you would go crazy with your stats, but they are pretty in line with what he's done. He averages:
28 catches
367.5 yards
2.5 tds
I could see him getting 4-5 tds if we get enough goal line plays with him in.
I do disagree we are thinner at WR. We have the same exact depth we did last year (meaning Coleman is still firmly 4th), but downgraded a bit from Cooks to Ginn. I don't think his snap count changes much.

Coleman has improved a little bit every year. His catching definitely improved last year. Not too down on him as a 4th WR, especially if he improves again this year.

He actually had a better 2015 (not a ton better but better) in terms of catches, yards, and definitely average, but that was pre Can't Guard Mike.
I thought he caught a higher percent of his targets last year but didn't check that yet.
Edit:
After checking, he only had 1 drop in 2015 and he had 2 last year according to sportingcharts.
He did improve his catch rate by about 7% (61.2% to 68.4%).

This. It's like he's trying too hard and not natural. A for effort, but he failed a lot at completing the catch. Soon as he got hit ball would come out.

Coleman sucks. Dural passes him easily

He's a big target(long arms as well) in the red zone & is damn good blocker. He's also gotten better every year that he's been here. He's nowhere near a good player, but he easily the favorite for the #4 WR spot at this point.
I also have high hopes for Dural as a deep threat in this offense, but he might not even make the team. Coleman is highly likely to make it as #4 or #5 at the worst, & then Dural has to beat out Tommylee Lewis, Lampman(I think he has a good shot), Williams-Lambert, Fuller, & Lawrence. I don't think we will, but we might keep 6 WR's.
Hopefully, you're right though. I'm rooting for Dural.

At least he's improved better than Toon & Arrington did(who we used a draft pick on). He may not be the best, but he's a decent find for an udfa.

Coleman isn't rosterable. He's the Cadet of the WR corp

cadet of the WRs would be Tommylee Lewis IMHO

I second that. Coleman is better than Tonmylee by a mile. And that says a lot about tommylee.

Lewis doesn't get enough snaps to make that comparison. Coleman does, unwarranted
