Yes, there are scripts from the 911 call, first call from the off duty SO in the parking lot at 1:28, first on duty SO showed at 1:32. The off duty wouldn't give chase because he wasn't on duty and to call. The sheriff is a joke around law enforcement in the area. He misspoke in the intial interview and all the rumors have spread from that point.

A bolo went out for the car, but it wasn't registed to the momma so they had to get info on the plates and registration. That took about and hour, then the paper work was filed for the Amber alert which again took Hinds SO to almost 4 am to get complete. At that time it was issued.

What kind of car was this that was stolen? To be honest, I wouldn't doubt if the mother was involved in this. She didn't want the kid anymore and figured a car jacking was a good cover. Happens more often than we like to think, but it seems odd to me someone steal a $3000 car and kill a kid over it. There's some brutal POS out there no doubt, but car theif and killer are usually not together. Unless one of them was wanted for more serous crimes or something .

Terrible either way.
