You forgot about the Bernstuin bears. They teach kids that bears are cute as well.

Bear cubs are adorable. When they're curious about something their ears stand up like Mickey Mouse Club hats.

Mama Bear is not adorable.

You act like animals being portrayed as friendly is limited to bears...

Mice.
Tigers.
Foxes.
Sharks.

obviously, you could make anything cute to kids. (the "princess and the frog" along with "lion king" come to mind) it's not that I care but i'm just really curious as to why bears are across the boards portrayed like this...it's the antithesis of reality. sharks and crocs, ok I get it. they're gross.

giant felines? an instance here or there, but they're big furry kiddies and they don't have this kind of press the poster who said "bear lobby" is on to something.

Foxes.

Sharks.
even in finding nemo where they're good guys, it's funny because they're such scary and vicious predators.

Because you are talking about fictional fricking characters. The real life versions of these wouldn't be too nice either.

Seriously, it goes back decades. I used to know the genesis but my memory is a little fozzie.

Your parents read you a lot of shark fables growing up? I can't remember any.
