Anyone had any luck with thick haired dogs? I have a husky that I'm contemplating doing this for. I have a fenced in backyard but would like to let him roam the property when I'm working outside. I don't plan on doing it full time, only when I'm outside in the front. We had a great Pyrenees growing up who would just run through our invisible fence but I'm wondering if it was because she was loose full-time and had plenty of time to contemplate running through it.

I used it on my labs. It worked great on one, the other couldnt be kept in the yard with a sledge hammer if it has places to be...

Not sure the fur has much to do with it as the temperament of the dog or their threshold of pain. I tried one for my Akitas and they were like "WTF was that as they kept on going"

Just shave under it's neck. Also, they come with different probes.
