Crackpot theory:
-This season opened on the evangelists in 18th century waiting on the second coming of Christ....someone was sending carrier pigeons with the date to them. But they miss it, the rapture never comes.
-We get a glimpse of an older Nora at the end of one of the episodes delivering carrier pigeons to a nun/church. All had messages.....
-We get all this Kevin is Jesus shite throughout....
- Kevin is Jesus. 2011 was the rapture which "awoke" Kevin as the second coming (although it took a long time for him/us to realize).
I think Kevin will be taken into heaven or something and the old Nora is how she has devoted her life after Kevin "rises" to heaven?

She could also be sending the pigeons back in time. Old nora obviously didn't want the nun knowing that she knew Kevin.

I enjoy running with the theory that Kevin is either the second coming or a major prophet. And even if the story never touches on anything close to that reality, I feel like they are certainly running stories that follow biblical parallels.
For example, anytime you've got a rapture story and 4 mysterious figures show up on horseback, that's a pretty strong nod to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. The main lady who spoke with Kevin Sr. feels a lot like the horseman Death with the story of how her kids died.
My way out there theory is that Kevin is jesus, the voices/hallucinations are demons, the demons have tricked Kevin Sr. into orchestrating Kevin meeting up with the 4 horsemen, and the horsemen will end up being Kevin's ultimate enemy/temptation in wherever the hell they are bringing this season.
Whatever the case, I'm really looking forward to Kevin's encounter with Death/that crazy old lady
