Yes. Gutters >> downspout >> tank. Tank >>> pump with pressure switch>>> water supply.
trying to find pics of my set up
hard to see here:
Two tank set up. pressure from large tank used to fill square tank as spare water. we dump clorox in there every so often to keep the funk down

Know anyone with a chlorine swimming pool that uses tablets...?
My dad use to put a pool tablet in their system, worked great...

This board is da best. Thanks yall for the pics and advice. I looked at the two tank setup at my uncles place outside of Austin but didn't know if I needed to run the same two tank and a pump type of system. I am off of Bayou Lafourche near Leeville.

One thing I will add, those Tank Totes are not UV protected. If that is what you are using either paint it or wrap it in something. Lesson I learned the hardway.

For no particular reason you saying "da" in place of "the" was annoying when reading your posts.

My camp is named Off Da Grid. Does that annoy you too?

Thank you for the hat and shirt

We have gutters that collect the water, 1500 gal tank on the ground. 12v pump hooked up to battery and solar panel. We run the 12 v system because we dont always run the generator when we are out there.

What happens if you don't?

they will degrade and crack

One more tip. Make sure that you close the 10" hole on the top of those square tanks. It's not fun when a raccoon falls in and dies.

HAHAH, we had a rat problem. We now have a screen from a window on top the hole and just let the water flow through.

"Off da Grid" as your overhead lines brings in electricity to power your satellite TV...
Posted on 5/9/17 at 2:05 pm to DeoreDX
Those overhead power lines run all of 20ft, from the generator shed, to the camp......
