In case anyone cares, someone is 30 min away from breaking the 2 hour mark in the marathon... scientists have believed for hundreds of years that no one could come close. Fastest mark so far is a few seconds under 2:03...just crazy. Link is:

They're shielding him from the wind by creating a fake pack and a car with a huge sign on it.

I'm interested, going to watch it to the end.

Ehhhhh.... thought the whole point of the site is to bring all "more sports" to this category. Guy is breaking multiple world records, potentially beating the odds most scientists said defied humans for years (yeah the aero stuff is a bit of a bummer), and its one of the largest trending subjects on the web. Don't like it, don't click on the shite.

I'm stressing watching this

Im happy with him not breaking the 2 hour mark because he broke the record** by a lot anyway.
Save the 2 hour mark for another day. Not today

2 years training, missed it by 24 seconds but made something so "impossible" look possible now. Made a damn marathon a nerve wracking event the whole time instead of a total bore, that alone is a feat...haha!

It wasn't eligible for a world record. Pacing and Hydration disqualified him from holding a world record.

I would have easily destroyed that dude on the last 100m

Doing what that guy did today is amazing! Some folks out there just dream of running that same time in 13.1 miles.
I do have to say WTF with KH? I know he runs but putting him out on course is a joke. Should have put Meb or Rupp in that spot. Guess Nike was going for a name non runners know for views.

I figured Kipchoge would blow trying to run that pace. Incredible. I think he could run 2:01:30 or so in Berlin in legit conditions.
It speaks to Kipchoge's greatness that the other two, who are great runners, completely bombed

The person whose run to Marathon
(A place name) is memorialized and celebrated in the distance of 26.2 miles dropped dead after reporting.
Do not try at home.
