The wife is watching Girlboss on Netflix. Suprised I haven't seen a M/TV Board thread about this show about female empowerment The main character is a bitch but she is funny sometimes. It's not a terrible watch.

A girl who's a boss? Oh man this is totally blowing all my conceptions of power and gender!

It was okay. My girlfriend liked it a lot more, but it wasn't a bad time filler.

ETA: She was bitchy, but I thought the friend was worse.

This is definitely a chick flick. I thought it had a few interesting ideas like how they portrayed message board conversations, and the supporting actors were top shelf, Norm McDonald, the dean from Community, Charlie Sheen's crazy stalker from 2 1/2 Men. But for the most part the show is about a trainwreck hot mess of a girl that would trigger the hell out of most of the posters on this board.

The message board episode was actually really funny, I enjoyed it a lot, especially when the truther troll popped in.

There was a thread last week. Like I said there, the show isn't bad. Something about the way Sophia swings her hips and shakes her arse in those chunky shoes makes happy.

A father and son are in a horrible car crash that kills the dad. The son is rushed to the hospital; just as he’s about to go under the knife, the surgeon says, “I can’t operate—that boy is my son!”

How is that possible?

The Huxtable kids asked that same question back in the '80s. Claire was not happy with Cliff when he couldn't figure out the answer.
