Orgeron is going to continue the slide started under Miles in 2012. He was an absolutely horrific hire

Your crystal ball must be working overtime. There is absolutely NO way to know that for sure. Yes, it may happen. But you're speaking in certainties.
If he does fail, it won't be because we've got lousy coaches around him or he just didn't try...unlike Miles, who sat and fiddled while Rome burned.

I just dont get your reliance on transitive logic....he was a failure..therefore, he still is.

Coach O was a terrible hire. Now that I have said that, I will look for anything good to pull for his success at LSU. Geaux Tigers!

Coaches improve, it happens all the time. They go from
a 7-5 coach to a 11-1 coach. Or a 2-10 coach to a 7-5 coach.

However, there are nearly zero cases where you can say a HC went from utterly horrible to elite, which is exactly what the coaching search was supposedly about....getting back to being ELITE. It just doesn't work like that.

Let's just say if O wins an NC, it will be the comeback story of our generation, and will immediately be available on ESPN's 30 for 30. It's THAT unlikely from a historical perspective.
