The DOJ is causing the anxiety and fueling the rumors in this town and while that in itself is disconcerting they also are costing this city, other local municipalities, educational facilities as well as private business a lot of money by not directly addressing said rumors. This needs to be addressed.

It has directly affected me in several ways both privately and in business. Meetings downtown closed because business closed, family with school etc...I'm sure it has affected a lot of people on this site in one way or another.

And there's a very good chance that it will keep dragging on. If/when the DOJ comes out and says there's no evidence of a Civil Rights violation, they will kick it back to the LA AG. Unless they plan on having a joint announcement and say they aren't going to proceed, there's going to be some interval of time where we still won't have a final resolution.
