Having your head coach on every ESPN show repping your school. Yeah, how irrelevant. LSU has been pulling top players out of states like Ohio, Oklahoma, New Jersey, the Carolinas. That's not where LSU usually gets guys. The brand is bigger and the recruiting base is larger.

In most cases he was ridiculed. Not many "experts" spoke of him the way the positigers did. he was never known for his coaching ability just for his quirkiness and at one time his balls.

Yeh we have built our program with recruits form those states
