Pretty sure Joe Montana would "struggle mightily" if he had to play behind a line that performed as poorly as the one Etling had that night. Having zero time or space to look downfield and step up in the pocket can make even the best QBs look mediocre.
Tigers are around a 12-15 ranked football program right now and I don't see that changing until there is an infusion of talent in the Offensive Line that's a massive improvement from what's been recruited the last 4 or 5 years.

Botton line, Offense will still struggle at times because of this. It's going to be the SOS with OL inconsistency and mental breakdowns.

Last shot here for Grimes to show that he can coach and make this bunch productive. Hope that he does it, but I don't see it happening.............

Grimes did well last year minus the bama game. And no Oline did very select against them. We return our T's which should mean improvement. We lose a great C but clapp won't be a big drop off imo. I hope etlings back improves and he throws
The ball well. If he can't then we might as well put a running threat at qb and utilize Guice and the qb option game on offense.

I was hoping he was replaced. Been too little production for too long.
